Aura Lanka initiated a 'parental worship' programme for the predominant Buddhist residents in the 'Yaya 18' of Rajanganaya and surrounding areas on April 11, 2021.

This programme aimed to mitigate the trend of strained parent - child relationships bringing about unfortunate repercussions, which is unfortunately seen quite commonly of late.

The event garnered much interest among the residents as it was the first of its kind to be held in the area.

Ven. Malwane Vijitha Thero, who was present at the event under the patronage of Ven. Ududumbara Vajira Thero, delivered a heartfelt and valuable sermon which was well received and praised by the 400-strong gathering.

Chairman of Aura Lanka - Dr. Viranjith Thambugala, was highly praised by the gathering for organising and sponsoring such a programme in the area.

An offering of Pirikara was made to the Maha Sangha while Dr. Thambugala had also sponsored sets of clothes which were offered by the children to their parents.
